Lake Eyasi Cultural Program
You will leave the vijiji centre at 8:00 am and drive West to Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands, and then travel to the Lake Eyasi area about 50 km Southwest. On arrival at the Hadzabe encampment you will learn about their traditions and daily life, have opportunity to hunt with men, walk with women in gathering edible wild roots and fruits and purchase crafts made by the families. Lunch break at the Hadzabe Area. Proceed with cultural trip to the Datoga land. Datoga people a blacksmith who make tools, utensils, and weapons by melting and molding metals. You will walk into their industries, visit their homes and get to listen to their stories. Travel back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
