Tarangire National Park
This is a park at the Northern circuit of Tanzania National parks. A safe haven for wild animals during the dry season. The park got its name from Tarangire river which flows from Kondoa Highlands and cut through plains leaving pools and wetlands enough to carter for terrestial and aquatic birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. These include endemic, exotic, very rare and endangered species of flora and fauna. The beautiful landscape is composed of hills, large rock outcrops, ridges, river valley, swamps and marsh lands.
A day trip to Tarangire
On arrival to Tanzania, our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to a hotel in Arusha town. Dinner and overnight at Arusha town.
Breakfast at 8:00 am and at 8:30 am the journey to Tarangire should begin. From Arusha town to Tarangire is about 150 km. The road cuts through the coutry side, maasai grazing plains and some local traditional villages and lead to the park after 2:45 hr drive. There is a cultural market at the gate where local made artifacts are displayed.
There are designated trails from the gate t the most pristine zones of wildlife in the park. The tour will take you through the beauty as our experienced guide interprets resources. Lunch break at an allocated site provided with toilet and trash cans.
The trip will begin again immediately after lunch and lead deeper into the the beautiful Savannah grasslands, woodlands and forest zones. Other places will be discovered and hopeful a new different species will be uncovered before the trip leads you back to Arusha through the same road.
